Professor Aladdin Ayesh, MSc (Essex, 1996), PhD (LJMU, 2000), is a Professor of Artificial Intelligence at De Montfort University in UK. His current research focuses on Computational Cognition, Machine Learning, Text Analytics and their applications in Cyber-Physical Systems. He has over 140 publications and has supervised 21 PhD projects to successful completion.
Prof. Ayesh supervised researchers using various AI techniques, e.g. swarm intelligence algorithms and predictive analytics, to solve wide range of real-world challenges, such as those found in network routing, energy efficiency, location-services etc. Recently, his projects’ focus shifted to the use of AI techniques for network security and data privacy, in the light of increasing CPS domestic applications
Prof. Ayesh has collaborated with an international network of academic and industrial partners. He is a founding editor of four international journals, chaired several international conferences, and is also a member of several AI related IEEE Standards working groups.
