Université Paris-Est Créteil, new aivancity partner

aivancity Paris-Cachan and UPEC have joined forces to develop cross-disciplinary training courses in Artificial Intelligence and promote a responsible and ethical approach to Artificial Intelligence in the service of society.

On September 20, 2022, Jean-Luc DUBOIS RANDÉ, President of Université Paris-Est Créteil, and Tawhid CHTIOUI, President and Dean of aivancity Paris-Cachan, signed a partnership agreement to define the main lines of their collaboration in the field of Artificial Intelligence (AI) and big data management.

 

 

THIS PARTNERSHIP IS BASED ON 5 AREAS OF COLLABORATION

  • Activities serving the local economy : aivancity will take part in the SkillsBridge consortium, supported by UPEC to promote employment, develop vocational training and stimulate economic activity in the eastern Paris region. Within this framework, aivancity will be able to offer its range of certified continuing education courses, part-time or alternating training courses, and promote its AI Clinic program to companies in the region.

 

  • Training activities : UPEC's teaching and research staff will be offered training in AI and Data by aivancity, in particular via e-learning short courses such as SPOCs.

 

  • Research activities : As part of the Graduate program: Data / AI et professions de l'UPEC, synergies will be established between aivancity's faculty and the working groups set up by UPEC, as part of developing master-doctorate attractiveness.

 

  • Entrepreneurship activities : The promotion of startups, particularly those set up by UPEC students as part of the "Maison de l'Innovation et de l'Entrepreneuriat Étudiant" (House of Innovation and Student Entrepreneurship), or from UPEC's LP and Master of Entrepreneurship programs, will be encouraged, notably by relaying calls for tenders from aivancity or its partners, leading to training, support and hosting programs for startups.

 

  • International development activities : aivancity and UPEC will set up international initiatives that could, in the case of Morocco, take the form of a tripartite partnership with the ISGA group (engineering and management training) to strengthen student exchanges and research collaborations between the three partners.
