aivancity Signs a Cooperation Agreement with New Mansoura University in Egypt

During Dr. Tawhid Chtioui's visit to Egypt in early June 2024, the President of Aivancity signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) with New Mansoura University on June 5, 2024. The signing ceremony was attended by Dr. Ayman Ashour, Egypt’s Minister of Higher Education, Dr. Shahenda Ezzat, Cultural Attaché of the Egyptian Embassy in France, Dr. Ibrahim Fathy, Dean of the Faculty of Computer Science and Engineering at New Mansoura University, and Dr. Abir El Shater, Assistant to the Minister for Technical Affairs, overseeing the Egyptian Knowledge Bank.

This agreement aligns with the objectives of Egypt’s Vision 2030, which aims to strengthen Egypt’s leadership regionally and internationally and promote comprehensive development. This vision is achieved through various mechanisms, including support for regional and international partnerships. The Minister praised the strong academic relations between Egypt and France, highlighting the robust connection between the two countries.

The Minister emphasized that the Ministry of Higher Education is committed to encouraging Egyptian universities to expand their cooperation with prestigious international academic institutions. This effort aligns with the goals of the national strategy for higher education and scientific research. He highlighted the diversity of universities in Egypt, which include public, national, private, technological, and international branches, and explained that the ministry strives to position Egyptian universities as hubs of higher education in the Middle East and Africa. The Minister also noted the universities' dedication to offering modern academic programs aligned with the demands of local, regional, and international labor markets.

Dr. Moawad Al-Khouli, President of New Mansoura University, affirmed that the university aims to be a global player in higher education, particularly in science, technology, and cultural development, supported by its regional and international partnerships.

The agreement includes several key areas, such as exchange programs during summer schools and international semesters, including educational trips to enrich students’ learning experiences. It also allows students to enroll in joint programs, enabling them to obtain dual degrees with Aivancity, such as MSc in Data Management and Data Engineering & Cloud Data Computing.

Additionally, the agreement provides for the joint development of training programs tailored to meet labor market needs and the establishment of an AI observatory focusing on responsible AI practices in Egypt, contributing to sustainable development in this field.

Tawhid Chtioui expressed his satisfaction with the collaboration, stating:

We are proud to expand our partnership with New Mansoura University. We believe this collaboration will strengthen scientific research and develop educational programs that meet the needs of regional and international labor markets.

Shahenda Ezzat highlighted the efforts of the Egyptian Ministry of Higher Education to reinforce cooperative ties between Egypt and France. She expressed her support for this agreement, reflecting the commitment to strengthening educational and cultural relations between the two countries, and shared her anticipation of the fruitful outcomes of this partnership.
