Launched in 2025 as one of the first French programs entirely dedicated to generative artificial intelligence, aivancity’s Master of Science program is evolving to incorporate agent-based architectures. It is now the MSc in Generative and Agent-Based Artificial Intelligence.
In less than two years, generative artificial intelligence has profoundly transformed business practices. Content creation, code generation, conversational assistants, business co-pilots, and task automation are now commonplace in companies.
A new chapter begins today with the emergence of agent-based AI. To stay ahead of this trend, aivancity is expanding its program and launching the Master of Science in Generative and Agent-Based Artificial Intelligence.
This transformation illustrates the philosophy the school has upheld since its founding: not waiting for professions to evolve before adapting its programs, but preparing students today for the skills organizations will need tomorrow.
Unlike AI systems that merely generate a response, AI agents can plan actions, interact with various tools, collaborate with other applications, and orchestrate complex processes. Within a defined framework, they are also capable of autonomously automating workflows.
For businesses, these new architectures open up significant opportunities in terms of performance, innovation, and business transformation. They also give rise to new challenges related to governance, security, regulatory compliance, accountability, and change management.
How an AI Agent Works
A self-directed cycle: plan, take action using tools, observe, and repeat.
Led by Dr. Antoun Yaacoub, a professor specializing in generative artificial intelligence, the MSc program is designed for professionals who wish to acquire high-level expertise in integrating generative and agent-based AI into organizations.
The program differs from other programs that focus primarily on the design of artificial intelligence models. Its goal is to train experts capable of bridging the gap between cutting-edge technologies and the business challenges faced by companies.
The MSc program thus retains the hybrid approach that characterizes aivancity’s programs, while incorporating the latest developments in agent-based architectures, intelligent automation, and new forms of collaboration between humans and AI:
“
When we launched this MSc program a year ago, many people were just beginning to learn about generative artificial intelligence. Today, companies are already talking to us about AI agents capable of automating entire processes. Our responsibility is not to keep up with these developments, but to anticipate them.
The development of generative AI and, subsequently, agent-based AI is giving rise to new skill requirements. Companies are looking for candidates who can understand the available technologies, identify the opportunities they present, integrate them into their operations, and ensure they are used responsibly.
“
Organizations don't just need AI specialists. They need professionals who can select the right solutions, integrate them into business processes, and ensure that they are deployed securely, responsibly, and in a way that creates value.
Upon completion of the program, graduates will be able to pursue careers in the following roles, among others:
