's Presentation of the Program

Every year, aivancity offers its third-year students the opportunity to participate in a learning trip to an emerging country.
In addition, a three-week "learning trip" focused on artificial intelligence (AI) in an emerging country—an initiative designed to explore opportunities, challenges, and developments related to AI in Morocco and India—is offered to third-year students, along with one week of optional cultural immersion.

Learning objectives

Learning Trip:
, Morocco

Exploring the AI/data research departments at Moroccan higher education institutions and the CNRST, and visiting companies

At the end of the fourth year of the
Grande Ecole Program

aivancity offers its students a three-week learning trip. Students travel to the United States for a three-week learning trip at UC Berkeley, followed by a one-week period of independent cultural immersion, which includes writing a reflection report.

2023 US Study Trip to Silicon Valley

15 companies or universities, 25 speakers.
aivancity School for Technology, Business & Society Paris-Cachan has, in fact, signed a partnership agreement with UC Berkeley to enable students in the Grande Ecole Program to enjoy an exceptional immersive experience within Silicon Valley’s innovative and technological ecosystem. The program, tailored specifically for aivancity students, ensures seamless alignment with the school’s overall curriculum and helps students develop new technical and international skills.

Program Overview

aivancity’s “Grande Ecole” artificial intelligence program trains future IAgénieurs® capable of addressing the many economic and societal challenges associated with harnessing the potential of data and artificial intelligence— technologies that rank among the most profoundly transformative in human history, on par with fire and writing. The world will soon be populated by intelligent agents, some acting autonomously, others enhancing human intelligence, skills, and performance. Some of these agents will be purely software-based, while others will reside in robots, cars, drones, satellites, and every conceivable type of hardware. The San Francisco Bay Area, which includes Berkeley and Silicon Valley, has been at the forefront of numerous technological advancements for decades. The presence of universities with exceptionally strong technical programs, the world’s largest ecosystem of technology companies and startups, and investors with budgets that remain unmatched, is key to this.

Learning objectives

  • Design and oversee the development of a product from start to finish using AI, from data selection and the assessment of equity, ethical, and legal considerations to measuring its impact in various technical, societal, and commercial ways.
  • Understand the impact and opportunities presented by the latest technologies and methodologies—developed within the Berkeley and Silicon Valley ecosystems—for business development and management.
  • Manage and maximize various types of feedback (technical, customer, and sales strategy).
  • Testing the limits of rapid iteration and agile development in a user-centered way.
  • Develop a strategy for increasing networking opportunities with technical and sales leaders.

The Innovation Project

  • Exploratory Data Analysis (EDA)
  • Model Performance Evaluation (Technical)
  • The lifecycle of an AI product
  • The innovation project was launched at aivancity a few months before the study trip by Professor Alberto Todeschini of Berkeley. The students finalized their projects at UC Berkeley with the help of mentors, investors, and industry experts.
