- a hybrid collaboration model, in which Midjourney retains its editorial independence while leveraging Meta’s cloud infrastructure, distribution model, and social network.
This initiative aims to make visual AI accessible to the general public, without the need for specialized tools or complex interfaces.
Toward Consumer-Grade Multimodal Visual AI
Since 2023, Meta has gradually developed a series of generative visual AI models:
- Emu for generating images from text or sketches;
- Make-A-Video for short video creation;
- Audiobox for generating voices and sound effects from a text prompt.
With the integration of Midjourney, users can now combine these modules to create a seamless multimodal experience: a user can describe a scene, choose a visual style, add a sound or atmosphere, and then post the entire creation instantly to Reels or as a story.
