
Biography: After graduating from the École militaire préparatoire d’Autun, he went on to earn a Master’s degree in Public Economics and a Master’s degree in Political Science from Panthéon-Sorbonne University.
In 1988, he joined the Paris Fire Brigade (BSPP) before attending the practical training division of the École du Génie, to which he returned in 1991. There, he served as fire station chief, deputy company commander, and then unit commander. In 1998, he was transferred to the Engineering Directorate in Limoges. He graduated from the École de Guerre in 2001 and also earned a Master’s degree in Conflict Studies and Comparative History from Paris-Sorbonne University. From 2001 to 2004, he served in the General Secretariat for Administration. In 2002, he was deployed to Sierra Leone, then returned to the BSPP in 2004 as head of the Financial Planning and Budget Office.
In 2008, he was assigned to the 1st Fire Brigade, which he commanded from 2009 to 2011. In 2011, he became director of training and head of the École Polytechnique. In 2015, he returned to the Paris Fire Brigade as chief of staff and then deputy commander. He was promoted to brigadier general on August 1, 2018. In 2019, under the command of General Gallet, he led rescue operations during the Notre-Dame de Paris fire, and subsequently assumed command of the brigade. He was promoted to Major General on January 1, 2021. On August 1, 2022, he was promoted to Lieutenant General and appointed Inspector General of the Armed Forces on a special mission.
