According to him, the energy and material requirements of AI make its deployment on Earth increasingly unsustainable in the long term. For his supporters, this approach could accelerate major advances in space exploration, communications, and large-scale computing. For his critics, it concentrates critical technological levers within an architecture that is difficult to regulate.
